Tom Barnett and Nick Jeffrey collected discarded Christmas trees across London and installed them on the third floor at 49 – 50 Great Marlborough Street as a vast collaborative sculpture.
Tom Barnett and Nick Jeffrey are two young artists from London who seek to share an alternative to the direct, everyday relationship we have with our surrounding environment. The discarded Christmas trees, being at once a byproduct of contemporary society and charged with cultural meaning and personal memories, are an ideal material to express this alternative.
